Dec 27
Outfit of the day : Well today's outfit is defiantly equestrian inspired I have always been jealous of girls who get to wear riding boots and for years I have been craving a pair of riding boots. Well my mom apparently picked up on the hit because that  is what I got for Christmas!

So here is the break down of the outfit; the boots are from Born, the shirt from Brooks Brother, the jeans are Tory Burch, the jacket is also Brooks Brothers, and  the glasses are Kate spade .

I have have a confession to make, I am a book worm, I absolutely love reading and over the summer I started piling up on reading many of the classics such as the Red Pony, Catcher In the Rye, and Great Gatsby . Even though I have all ready read  the Catcher in the Rye and the Great Gatsby I enjoyed reading them for the second time, I  was able to pick up on all of the key items I missed the first time. Furthermore  I have compiled a list of books that I want to read over break  so here they are......

The Hunger Games Trilogy

Black Ice

Outside Providence

The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie

Cozy and Cute

So since it's winter break I am beyond exited to catch up and see all of my high school friends i have not seen most of them since August so it's about time that i see them. One of my good friends is hosting a holiday brunch tomorrow and I can not help but look back at all the high school photos and reminisce. I can not believe how fast time has gone by (I know it's corny). Here are some photos that highlight my high school years.
This was at my graduation party, I absolutely love this Lilly dress on me !

This was during junior year for ring dance, I really enjoyed having a short dress and it being pink made it even better !

Prom .. I really did not like my hair then if I could go back I would defiantly have my hair down .

This was during freshman year it was the fist holiday bunch we ever had .. We are now on our 5th.

Senior year during art class I am wearing one of my favorite Lilly skirts.

Sweet Tooth

Well I am happy to be home and enjoying the time being with all of my family, which is great because I have not seen all of them in 6 months. As a tradition in my house, the girls bake cookies all week long leading up to Christmas. Then we pack them up and give the to the neighbors. Today my sister and I baked pumpkin bars, cranberry white chocolate biscotti and lastly peppermint sugar cookies(yummy).

Well the peppermint cookies will be gone by tomorrow when I get together with most of my high school friends for a Holiday brunch and Chinese gift exchange. I am so excited to see everyone and catch up!

Baby It's Cold Outside

After the disaster of loosing my favorite coat last year I have been in  search for the perfect pea coat. I found my coat last year while scouring the racks at T. J Max. So now I am on the search for a pea coat that will keep me warm when it get cold outside but also versatile and can match with most of my shoes and outfits I wear, here are so of the options I have come up with

I absolutely love the color of this pea coat and this would look great with a pair of brown cords.

I love the pocka dotted bow on the color and the color is also really fun.

This is the J.Crew Majesty Pea Coat, I am obsessed with this coat. I love the gold buttons and the fact that it comes in so many colors makes it so easy to coordinate with outfits.

The pockets on this pea coat speaks for themselves they are just so cute and classic and the color would go great with a pair of black ridding boots or red pumps.

So that's all I have for today I am definitely thinking about the J.Crew pea coat. I tried it on at the store and it is extremely warm and the color is perfect for my wardrobe. What do you think of these pea coat do you have any suggestions on a different pea coats I should take a look at?

Preppy Little Liars

Well since I had no exams today I took this valuable time to catch up on one of my guilty pleasures , Pretty Little Liars. While the plot line can get a little confusing, there is one feature of this show that never fails. The fashion, one  particular character's style has caught  my eye, the one and only Spencer Hastings. I absolutely swoon over  her effortless old school prep style. I have seen her in everything from cute cardigans to so very stylish riding boots. Here are some of my favorite looks;
I absolutely love Spencer's shirt in this outfit is is classic, and the lace add a very nice twist to the outfit.

I got so excited when I saw Spencer in this blazer, I have a blazer that  is extremely similar.  Oh gosh look at those boots, I have been lusting over a great pair of riding boots. Hopefully my mother has gotten the hint and they are sitting under the Christmas tree.

Spencer's cardigan in this scene is beyond cute and topping off her outfit with some simple heels is great, I will defiantly be using this as an inspiration for some future outfits.

If you have never seen Pretty Little Liars, I defiantly suggest you take look. The style of these high schoolers is worth the look alone. If you have seen Pretty Little Liars who is your style inspiration ?

Well it's finals week, I  have never drank as much coffee as I have drank this week. Furthermore to add to the stress I have also been battling a cold. But while I was scanning the web on a study break I happened upon one of cutest letters ever. I defiantly encourage you to read this if you are college student stressing over finals or even if you’re not, This letter made my night, it put me in such a good mood and basically made me feel that everything was going to be OK because after all there is a light at the end of the tunnel called finals week. Well that all I have time to write, I am off to spend the evening in the library studying for my Latin final. Good luck to all of you college prepsters on your finals.

Tis the Holidays !

Tis the holiday season, well I am finally in the holiday sprit today, after being stressed from final and the overall lack of cold weather, I welcomed it with open arms. After a quick trip to Target for some Christmas gifts, we made it back just in time to be able to bundle up in hat and mittens for the holiday parade. We walked to downtown and saw some truly incredible floats and talented bands. After the parade and my friends, being caught up in the holiday sprit, decided to watch a Christmas classic Elf, while of course drinking hot chocolate. This weekend really did help me get into the holiday sprit.

What are some of the holiday traditions that you have in your family? I hope everyone’s weekend is filled with holiday sprit and joy.

The Belly of the Beast

I thought the best way for my followers to get to know me is to go into the belly of the beast, aka my dorm room. Even though I live in a triple I still have been able to add a little prep to my space with some great essentials.

Here is my list of some essentials to all of you preppy collegiates:

      1. Cute and comfortable bedding with lots of pillows, this will help you feel more at home. Top your bedding off with a cute throw and you will have sweet dream in no time.

    2.     Wall Pops, these thing are amazing, they are like dry erase sticker that make any drab wall fab. Furthermore these are extremely useful for notes, to do list, or even to keep track of events

  3.     Storage containers, because I live with two other girls space can be tight, so I use a lot of storage containers in my room. My favorite are the
Martha Stewart crates, they come in great colors and are so cute! I got mine from Home Depot

4. Bulletin Boards, they can be for putting up pictures, notes, or even cards, bulletin boards are great for decoration and function.

   5. Rugs, they can make any regular dorm room feel like home, and your fiends will be thankful that there’s a comfy place to plop down to study instead of the   uncomfortable floor.

   6.     Desk Organizer, they come in handy when you have books sprawled across your desk, these babies will help your desk stay clean and organized, and if you get them in fun colors they can also brighten up your study space.
What are  some of your room essentials, do you have any suggestions on ways to make my room feel more like home? Well that all for tonight, thanks so much and I hope you enjoyed my first post, there is sure to be more!
